Children's Home Society and Family Services Hope for Hosanna School: Sanitation System Project
Children's Home Society & Family Services (CHSFS) is a child and family support agency that works with vulnerable families, orphaned and abandoned children in Ethiopia. CHSFS helps sustain many facilities and projects throughout Ethiopia.
One of their child welfare projects is the Hope for Hossana Project. The project is aimed at helping the people of Hossana and the surrounding communities by providing essential support such as healthcare and education. As part of the project, a school is being constructed that includes classrooms, water filtration, a lunch/food program, sanitation facilities and a library. Future plans for this project include a pediatric clinic, care center and mother's birth center.
By partnering with Ethiopian Orphan Relief, you can help fund the completion of new sanitation facilities at the CHSFS Hope for Hossana School, which will benefit up to 400 children per year. In addition to the initial costs of construction, your contribution will also provide funds for ongoing maintenance. The Hope for Hossana school will provide a safe place for vulnerable, at risk children to learn and grow within their own community. Your generosity will provide opportunity for thousands over the life of the project.
Are you travelling to Ethiopia in the near future? The following is a list of physical donations currently needed and requested for the CHSFS Care Center in Ethiopia. For information on pickup or drop-off of donations once you are in Ethiopia, please contact us at
info@ethiopianorphanrelief.org. Not travelling in the near future, but want to help? Gift cards and gift certificates from drug and department stores are appreciated! We'll also do the shopping if you choose to make a gift by check and write "physical donations-CHSFS" in the memo line. Whenever possible, we attempt to use these cash donations in Ethiopia to also help support the local economy.
